Cracked XT660Z Frame

My bike is 2,5 Yrs old now and has 65 500 km on the ODO

Today I found a breakage on the LH Side of the main frame , just above the Rectangular Brace ( the one the rear shock upper mounting is welded to).

So has anyone else had a frame break like this ?

So Yamaha South Africa and Yamaha Japan approved my warranty claim and are replacing my Cracked frame.
The old frame they want returned for evaluation.

3 cheers for Yamaha !!!

That's a strange place for the frame to crack,:024:

Unique!

It is on a 'hot spot' next to the exhaust... started on the weld of the cross section??

wow! not so good, just checked mine and it's ok, must be treating it too easy these days!

is the frame tube on the otherside ok? could be just a flawed tube when the frame was produced

Yikes!

Good news that you're being looked after under warranty and it's being taken very seriously.
