I can only speak for a Z, but I was so pleased with the Wilbers on my revious Z that the first thing I did on the new one was get another Wilbers shock.

A couple more to add to your list...

Yacugar ER-S 370EUR

Nitron NTR Sport 560EUR

I went for the Yacugar on my XTZ, which I am really pleased with, both in terms of price and performance.

By reputation Ohlins or Bitubo, but mine is standard so dunno.....Tell us what you choose!!!

Petenz 17-12-12 09:43

My XTR will get a Ohlins.. One of the main
reasons is theres a Ohlins service agent here in NZ
that also sells... I try to give my $ to NZ out fits
when possable.. prise wise...
Ohlins are about as good as shocks come..depending on model..

scarab1987 17-12-12 10:45

the yacugar uk dealer inform me that the rear shock has 480 euro with shipping for greece. i am closer to wilbers.

scarab1987 18-12-12 11:23

i am between ohlins, wilbers, hyperpro and bitubo.all have the same functions.but which brand has the best quality?any idea?

scarab1987 21-12-12 12:54

ohlins has 30 clicks for damping
bitubo has 7 clicks for damping
wilbers has 22 clicks for damping
hyperpro don't know.

these are the diffirences between the 4 shocks. still undecided.i need your help.

my Wilbers 641 has stepless preload adjustment. See the pic below:

I have had my ohlins on my XTR for 16,000km now and it has handled everything great and is very comfy.
It has done dirt and our very crappy roads here in Aus with ease.
It is without doubt one of the best improvements to the bike.
By the way rear shocks for the X/R are different to ones that can be fitted to the Z.
