XT660Z Tenere speedo out by 10km/h

Hi
I am the owner of a 2010 Tenere a have noticed that my speedo is out by at least 10 km/h eg showing 70 on the spedometer when the actually travelling speed is 60 this is pretty frustrating especially when trying to stick to the speed limit. I have also noticed that this effects the odometer reading on a long trip.
Is this a common Tenere problem and how can this be fixed.

Sounds normal to me. In my experience all bike speedos over read by about 10%. Cars are a bit more accurate, but still over read. Once you know how much it over reads by then you can judge for yourself what leeway you have in speed limits.

Sent from my iPhone with a smile :)

It is perfectly normal for the Tenere, they're all like that!

Yes you notice this when using any sat nav in the car or on the bike, 10% is perfectly normal in my experience. As long as you know this then you can take it into account.
