Anywho as most will know ive bought Fiddichs 2010 Yamaha Tenere and here is my saturday photos from the 400miles i did in one day!!!
At the train station on friday waiting for a connecting train. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/002.jpg At fiddichs in the front room planning my ride for sat with a fire going and a bottle of whiskey i won in a raffle at work that day!!!! Yes it was sampled several times with no ice or water.....nice http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/003.jpg Dropped into Aberlour for brekkie of a Northern Ireland mans favourite of a fry http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/006.jpg At the cross roads going towards Tomintool i think!! They all look the same http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/007.jpg Explains itself i think!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/009.jpg AKA Tenere country http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/010.jpg My single track road at the sumit where it was very windy http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/012.jpg Found a wee off road track near Bramear around a mile long. Got wet though after splashing into a deep puddle which covered the front wheel completely and pushed a tusmia sized wave over my helmet and what felt like all down my back!!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/014.jpg Arty one http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/015.jpg Quiet a small castle when you get near it...more like a big house http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/016.jpg Back again via the off road section....this time a little faster!!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/017.jpg Thought i found two off road trails but turns out there were around 150m of off road track then a gate to a field.....still fun on Tenere http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/019.jpg LOST http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/020.jpg Asda shop in a town here Dufftown with a few crotch rocketers:rocketwhore: http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/021.jpg My horse and kart fully loaded http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/023.jpg and as Fiddich called it a childs head slicer out the side (aka the standard exhausts link pipe) http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/024.jpg A big hill before you get to the top of a ski sloping area place thing.....blooming cold by this stage as it was near 6.30pm and i still had around 150miles to go!!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/025.jpg 1 i couldnt resist doing some more off roading and 2 it was a short cut really!!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/026.jpg |
Starting to get dark now and the point that i found i forgot my clear visor!!!! not too bad as i wear milk jars for glasses but quiet cold on the face with a visor open at 60mph!!!
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/027.jpg Service station at Perth for a burger king. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/028.jpg Ended up getting home at 11pm, and i had been up and about on the tenere from 9am, and some 400 miles. Worked out that i was averaging 60mpg and i wasnt holding it back in most places. Finally my two babies at work parked for up for a few weeks until my next trip!!! http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...123455/029.jpg Verdict of the tenere Just what i want from a bike, loads of torque down low, enough poke up top to over take and get a shimmy on. Good wind protection, sounds crack with that 2 into 1 can (cant wait to remove the baffle:usa2:), handles well, easy to look after/service my self mostly etc XT meet next 2013......i cant wait |
