Hi...
What coolant temp dose a XTR run at?

I'm putting a temp gauge in the coolant
hose from the pump..wondering what temp
they run at...

Between 80 to 106 degrees C. The fan kicks in at 102C & can run up to 110C which at that point it will boil over, fan turns off at 96C.

Hi Pete,
You can read off your actual coolant temperature from the bike's sensor using the built-in diagnostics - it's code D06. :D

How hot the coolant gets depends very much on the climate you're riding in, and to a lesser extent on how hard you're riding and the level of tune of your engine. My XTX typically only gets up to around 86deg max, even after a fairly good thrashing, but that's in the UK where we don't really get any hot weather! (Certainly not this year anyway :icon_frown:)

Not exactly "hot" compared to what our friends in Oz have to cope with :D

We have had really poor weather of late in Brisbane nearlly 50 days of no rain, 12 to 26C days & 12 months a year riding, you got to love Oz.
