Tyre wear

Hi, just an update on the Pilot 2. I finally had to replace the rear after 8000 miles, the tyre wore down very quickly during the last 1000 miles, replced with the same.

I still can't get a front tyre to go past 1200 miles not even Road Smart in fact at the mileage it had been illegal for a while.

Is this down to my style of riding having come from sports bikes or is this expected from the standard Pirelli's?

Hello,

I've just got 10,500 miles out of my Continental Trail Attack 2s

In fact, the rear still had about 1,000 left in it (it had squared off but grip was good and still tread on it)

Granted, I have a Tenere which means no wheelspins / wheelies off the lights, but I do give it a bit and I'm doing around 80 miles a day on A / B / M roads.

Changed them both for piece of mind, 130 for the pair.
A GREAT road tyre with phenomenal wet grip.

Highly recommend. Not sure you can get the correct sizes for the X/R but if you're an on-road Z rider... get these!

Used the Pilot Road2, 2ct. Great tyre heaps of mileage, plenty of confidence in it under all conditions.

Pilot Road3, 2ct is next up as it is more of the same and better.
