Hello from London

Ive recently bought a fully kitted out gorgeous tenere xt 660z to keep my 1200 company. Can't wait to ride the tenere to work everyday and really am looking forward to doing some off roading.
Give me a shout if you're up for exploring the back and beyond. Any suggestions for good trails are always welcome.
Cheers! July

From a fellow Newbie - welcome to the Forum mate.

Apparantly Wales is the Ten's playground! Don't know of many Routes down South, except that Patsy Quick owns/runs a ABR school near Heathfield, Sussex & one in Hampshire. http://www.adventureridingacademy.com
Not sure if we'll piss on KTM's patch with our Tens but hey....

Up the m4 towards newbury, jump off at compton and head towards the ridgeway, good lanes! Get urself an os map, it helps.

Hiya, which part of London are you? If you want a meet at Box hill or the Ace, for a natter or a bike ride, just let me know. I've not done any trails yet and haven't got any knoblies, but I guess stoney hard pack lanes would be good.

Thanks mate

July 03-08-12 01:08

Thanks mate. Yup, I've come across the ad academy and the yamahanoff road school as well. Has anybody been to either to recommend/ not recommend.

enduro374 03-08-12 09:09

Welcome to the forum.

I've ridden with the Yamaha Off Road school run by Geraint Jones and family with help from the likes of Wyn Hughes and would thoroughly recommend it. I've only ridden either my own enduro bike or their WR's, but the terrain they have access to and the quiality of these riders is fantastic.

Just let me know when you're free and I'll work out if I can make it. SWMBO is a midwife, so it's sometimes hit & miss cos of her shifts. PM me some times and we can go from there.

Welcome!!

I am from Herts, not far from where you are and we have some very nice green lanes here and about.

If you fancy one day, just give me a shout!

Are there some really easy lanes...I'm a complete novice and the tyres on the bike are Pirelli Scorpions :086::gobain:

Hello! Just joined the forum and based in SW London, currently have a Kawasai Versys 650 but looking to get a Tenere very very soon as want to do some off-road and the V won't handle it! Would be great to catch up at the Ace or something and head out to some greenlanes from there..

suds750 10-08-12 14:20

Hiya Kawalon, I've got a week to go riding, so if you want to meet up either at the Ace or Box Hill, just let me know.
