Aftermarket CNC Levers

Evening all

Want to replace my OEM levers on the XTR for a set of long aluminium Levers

Dont really care if they are made in China these look OK
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CNC-Long-...item3cc730b507

Anyone had any experience in terms of "FIT" before I splash out and send my $$ overseas?

Thanks

Marc

A couple of us orderes China-levers from "bikegear-2010" in a different thread that I can't remember.

The fit was ok, a bit of play, but nothing I notice with daily use. You may want to have a look at his auctions.

Woottonboy 29-07-12 01:48

they go ok

I put some on my XT660R about 2 months ago and had no problems. I think they actually fit tighter than the originals. The adjustability is a bonus.

They arrived really fast, considering most of my packages seem to be detained and opened by customs. From memory it was about 10 days.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the replies

Bought this last night:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300703143...84.m1439.l2649

I have Pazzos on my GSX but didn't feel it was necessary to fork out over $250 on them for the XT

The idea is to keep the originals under the seat (hopefully I wont have the need to use them)

Will pass on feedback when they arrive

Marc

Mine turned up today, went for the short version which are the bobble shorter than the standard ones,
Not fitted yet, but they look very well made,
Took 6 days from China to UK, then 4 days from the uk to my door cause they don't work on Saturdays here ! No wonder this country is in bother
I'll take some pics when I fit them and pop them on here

PhilinFrance 07-01-13 20:44

Fancy a set of these myself ,but do the fit a XTZ ?

Cheers Phil

Pleiades 07-01-13 21:10

Thanks to RTWPaul recommendation I got a set of these for the XTZ...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/170694297800...#ht_6549wt_960

Cost me all of 20 delivered! Fit perfectly and of excellent quality.

You've got to watch the ordering process and get it just right or you'll end up with the wrong levers. All the relevant information needs to be added as a note at the checkout stage.

You will need to state exactly (for the XTZ)...

1x Suzuki - GSXR 600 1997 - 2003 Clutch lever
1x Yamaha - FJR 1300 2004 - 2008 Brake lever

I want the lever in XXX color
I want the adjuster in XXX color
I want short/long levers

PhilinFrance 07-01-13 21:52

Here's (a rather crappy) picture. Doesn't really do them justice...

1x Yamaha - FJR 1300 2004 - 2008 Brake lever

Thanks Phil

Yep - and don't forget the colour of the levers, the colour of the adjusters and whether long or short.

(Oh, and I must apologise for turning an XTR thread into an XTZ one - sorry!)

PhilinFrance 07-01-13 22:39

It happens ...................and helped me a bundle :team[1]:

I'm sure all of the XTR owners will forgive the model/thread hijack if you could kindly provide the appropriate clutch/brake lever equivalents so XTR owners could make use of the same eBay seller :D

I am currently waiting on delivery of a set for my xtx, black with red adjusters :blob9:

Phil

Step 1: Choose the FJR1300 2004-2008 pair of levers and click BUY IT NOW

Step 2: Go to Paypal payment, sign in as normal, but...

Step 3 (the important bit): Add a Paypal note stating what you actually want (as I outlined in previous post). Basically stating that you want the clutch side substituted for a GSX-R600 1997-2003 clutch lever.

Sounds complicated, but they seem to know what they're doing at their end and they've sold a few combinations like this for the XTZ - RTWpaul, Ohlins and myself, plus a few others have all succeeded in buying these levers.

PhilinFrance 08-01-13 14:59

Ohhhh you're a star mate .............;bloody computers just blow my head up.

Cheers Phil

PhilinFrance 08-01-13 15:14

Cheers Pleiades
Just ordered them , fingers crossed i don't end up with a pair of WOODEN CLOGS:icon_rendeer:
Phil

bluecoup 08-01-13 20:22

The seller I used just lists them as pairs for the bike, they are very slightly different, even have the hole for the front brake spring

bigTrev 28-01-13 01:01

My cnc levers finally arrived after a detour to Madrid !! Well pleased with the quality of them, 50 quid well spent.

Anyone know if the "normal length" ones are same length as Yamaha standard ones? I'm fitting mine under Touratech hand guards, which will be problematic if they are not the same length (or shorter). The short ones are not an alternative.

In scope for purchase:

Hello K1322

The CNC levers are slightly thicker then the OEM ones and from memory are the same length but I can measure them tonight next to the OEM ones to check....

I Marc.

I noticed you had actually already measured them in another post:
http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=19509

The CNC ones are about 5 mm longer. Thanks. Will double check if they fit under the Touratech hand guards.
