Throttle position sensor

Dear all, just had a nightmare few days with me trusty stead, very sick he was indeed stalling, coughing, popping from exhaust more than normal. It all came down to a very helpful man called James at Yamaha technical support 01923 2358183 he talked me through the diagnostic search on the LCD clocks to pin point the T.P.S which was faulty.it was 182 + fitting until I though mite as well give it a go! Unclipped electrical connector and hit it with me air compressor out flew last weeks monsoon downpour! Result electrical cleaner and silicone grease to be safe and LCD results back to factory settings. The bike was awful stalled at starting, mega rich fuel settings, like it had kangaroo petrol in it,must have been shorting out so if you get these symptom try this, little black round plastic component on right side of throttle housing 57 plate xt660x:SPanikengun77:

There is a thread on the forum that mentions which range of TPS are known to Yamaha as been faulty & how to check them.
