flat tyre
Hi all
I ve just got a flat rear tyre on my xt660x is it possible to repair yourself and does it have an innertube |
Yes it has a tube and yes you can fix it yourself if you have the tools and the brains
|
Careful not to scratch the rim or worse! Took my dealer over an hour to replace tyre & tube recently, even with the right kit, so be very patient. I suspect they put a trainee on the job. Luckily it all worked out OK.

Try some of these.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE...item4ab08ad909 I've found 3 useful but there again I'm a ham fisted oaf. |
I made myself one of these..
no tyre levers needed to put a tyre on..still need levers to remove it.. no scratching the rim .. its got a 17:1 ratio where levers ony give you around 4:1... it can do rims sizes 17" to 21".. Its really cheating as its so easy... You can buy them..but they are not cheap... 99 euros but even at that prise they are worth it if you do a few tyres now and then... VID.....of how they work.. http://youtu.be/d_cKs2WyQ8c http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/4671/ssa41911.jpg By petenz at 2012-05-12 http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7725/ssa41913.jpg By petenz at 2012-05-12 http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/8495/ssa41912.jpg By petenz at 2012-05-12 http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/145/ssa41902.jpg By petenz at 2012-04-29 http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/7079/ssa41896.jpg By petenz at 2012-04-28 |
