Long time no post and 2004 XTR pcIII question
 

Hi all

Sorry long time no post, been a bit busy with a new job and therefore no mods on my XT-R.

Since my last around a year ago I have found out that my 06 registered XT-R is in fact an 04 model! It's currently under a bit of modification at present with the following being completed:

- Newly painted engine cases - satin black
- Powder coated rims and hubs - black
- New brass nipples to replace the cheap mild steal nipples supplied with my stainless spokes from off the road which lasted 6 months before rusting!
- AIS banking plate
- acerbic bush guard extenders

The question I have is which power commander to buy, the following notes from this forum suggest that it's a PCIIIusb:

A PCV for a Raptor 700 2009 to 2011 will fit all models XTX, XTR & XTZ 2007 to present
A PCIII for a XTX/R will fit a XTZ 2008 to 2011 & XTX, XTR 2004 to present.

I assume that for a PCV" fit all models XTX, XTR & XTZ 2007 to present" means only XT-Rs from 2007 onwards, is this correct?
