Primary drive cover removal
 

Does anyone know whether the primary drive cover can be removed without dismantling the water pump?

I've read the books and they say it's necessary, but i can't see why unless there are cover screws behind the pump.

There is 1 screw behind the water pump.

Pull the whole pump off like this.

Kev is that a home made gasket on the primary cover? Don't want to pay yamaha prices or wait for over seas company to send them!
