Airbox mods seem to make *more* of a difference than exhaust mods on the XT, so yeah, definitely Kev Mod or Power Commander.

The other way round.

You need to either use a Kev-Mod, or a PC-V when you change the air filter for high flow. You don't need any fuel modifications for the exhaust change.

Removal of the snorkel alone isn't going to make much difference to the bike, other than leave a bit more space under the seat!!

Uberthumper is right, changing the air filter and adding a fuelling device makes a huge difference to the power delivery. I can only speak for the MTC cans, but these cans opens up the lower rev range for normal use. It is very noticeable indeed.

thanks for clearing that up.

One fo the biggest things i love about my Ten is the fuel economy, changing the mix to be richer doesnt appeal (smooth, strong power does though!)

EDIT: just read some bits that the mod improves fuel range? thats not what some chap i meet at a rally told me, and he had the mod???

cheers

I've looked at doing this on my X. I've installed the MTC cans - throttle response & low down power marginally better. Bike still under warranty: would a Power Commander or other fuel mod & DNA stage 1 or 2 have an impact on this? I have also read that a full dyno run would be required to tune everything up. All sounds rather expensive!!
