Yep my old body and Joints dont do camping. Tried it, even tried a caravan still could not walk the next day. I could make it up on Sunday, already committed on Saturday.

Just back from a road trip with my Wife, last tuesday went Edinburgh, Perth, A93 and stayed at Abyone plan was to do C ocK bridge, Elgin, Truiff, and back to Aboyne on Wednesday but my Wife will not start Bike ride if it is already raining so just had to spend the day at the Spa instead. Thursday went via Stonehaven and A92, Tay bridge, Edinburgh and home.

Last time i sat on one properly with the idea of thinking hmmm see what this feels like was 2 years ago and i had the XTR at the time with raiser links and didnt find the Z felt much difference to the XTR with my mods on.....so if not a Z possibly an older R with mods and spare monies to get it the way i want it:icon_geek:

I dont think you will find much difference between the R and the Z.

Major stuff unchanged, seat a bit different and sits a bit higher, bigger fuel tank, I perfer the style, twin discs but still not great stopping.

Engine managment a lot smoother, although I have put a K&N in instead of just replacing with the Yam one and it just ever so slightly hunting a very low speed.

But as usual I think it is each to their own, :tongue[1]:

Let me know your planned route back and I will see where a meet would be possible.
