Tried putting them in rank order, but impossible - I loved tham all in their own way (except the Hondas, which were utility choices, and the Jawa, which was the worst bike I have ever seen, never mind ridden).

AJT690KTM 19-02-07 17:04

I think we should all have a bit of love for the C90, first bike I ever rode, fond memories!!

matt_not_andrew 19-02-07 18:37

BSA Bantam 1963 175 trials (age 14)
Honda MT5 1994 reg(age 16 - had the 65cc bore kit fitted)
MuZ ETZ 125 Saxon Sportstar 1994 reg(best bike I ever owned - age 17)
Moto Morini Kanguro 350 Trail 1982 reg(Age 18)
Suzuki GS500E 03 plate (post uni return to bikes)
Yam XT660R 06 plate (current)
Suzuki DRZ400E 2001 (picking up tomorrow for the trails)

AJT660 - go for the WR450, a mate of mine trails a WR250 but now looking to go 2 smoke. As above, I'm picking up a 2001 DRZ400E tomorrow for the trails. I tried trailing the XTR but realised I needed something lighter and droppable.

As above, the MZ125 was the bike that I have the fondest memories of. It took me to Scotland age 17 with my mate Craig on his DR350. It was never about speed (most 17yr olds went for TZR's, RG's and Aprilia 125s back then) but it was such a well built bike. 4 gallon tank, zero maintenance enclosed chain, same frame as the Rotax 500 so was a proper sized bike. I love my XT but I loved my MZ.

****, now I'm gonna spend the evening looking for an old MZ on Ebay. The missus is gonna kill me.

AJT690KTM 19-02-07 19:06

Would have had the WR450 M_not_A, just could not sort a deal on it, was only going to use it on the road though, it did have a pair of cut slicks with it, never mind, I will probably look aronud for another one, still loving the XT though so not too bothered.
