I've just moved (after years of big bikes) from an 04 650GS to an XTR, and for the same reason. I had the GS for six months until I couldn't stand it any more. Very capable, very economical, stunningly bad build quality, and boring, boring, boring. The XTR - delivering the smiles every day.

I have had. started motocross at age 7 did it for 10 years. Then on to road bikes.
