Sorry missieeg, can't be of help with accessing the battery under the tank really, as I guess by the sound of it there are some differences between the mountings for the ABS and non-ABS models. If you just want to get at the battery to get a power feed for accessories, then there are charging connections (and main fuse) behind the right hand grey plastic tank cover.

Indeed there is no need to touch the battery at all to get a power feed for accessories.

Just a note of caution - the VRLA type battery on the ABS bike needs a "special" charger, a normal bike charger like an Optimate will damage it.

(But I'm sure your read the owners handbook! ;) )
