Hi get my 2009 xt660x next Friday
Hi everyone Ive just sold my gsxr750 srad and getting my xt 660 x week today, it's been modified with akrapovic exhaust system and a power commander, and I'm looking forward to a more comfy ride than the gixxer which has had nothing but problems since owning it . Can anyone tell me anything I need to know about the xt all reviews I've read sound promising and reliability 100% better than the Suzuki. Looking to maybe get some spare wheels to put some knobblys on to do a bit of green laneing, I've been reading about adjusting the c02 will this need to be done with a power commander fitted? Any help would be grately appreciated

Welcome along,,,, Picking up Friday.... Dam! but you could still make the Lakes for Saturday, where better to learn about your new steed than the XT Mecca ?

Hello Michael and welcome aboard :hello:
I think a little time searching XT660.com will unveil all of the answers to your questions. Aprokavic has a nice ring to it I reckon...:coolsmiley: |

Welcome bud.
You need to make sure that you have the correct map loaded on your PC to realise the best results from your setup. Also is a good idea to compliment what you already have with some DNA stage 1 and 2 air filters. ( Contact Captain Moto for a forum price) As far as greenlaning goes, people have had pretty decent results on and offroad with Avon Distanzias on the std 17" wheels. they have a pretty aggressive tread block but are not murder on tarmac. Check them out mate. http://www.avontyres.com/node/139 Hope you enjoy your new bike. |
Cheers guys I've just been reading about the stage 1 +2 air mod, I will contact him for a price so looking forward to getting out on it next weekend hope the weather is good, I'll check out the tyres now thanks again :signthankspin:

Hi and welcome to the forum
:newbie: :yahoo:Lakes:yahoo:Lakes:yahoo:Lakes:yahoo: There was a few bits of talk on the forum about guys with XTX's looking at putting the XTR's tyres on but not sure what the outcome is. Quiet a few people have gone the other way from the XTR to the XTX but thats not much use to you!!!:045: |
