FYI as the mileage got higher on my bike (over 40,000 miles) i got better fuel mileage, my best was 408 miles to a tank

Thats great if it the Zs range was 380/400 miles[ 605/640km] plus i have just bought a 7L fuel bladder as a backup for Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China so should give me a range of [ in theory] 800km. I see Sysie actualy got 24.7 L into his tank on another post.

if you have time look into these gas cans LINK to GAS CANS

not sure if you are using hard luggage but with their mount, easy to add to the front or rear of the pannier, i'll be adding them for Africa

or even one for gas one for water, and very reasonably priced

Once i was in the States as i knew gas stations were everywhere i regularly filled up at 300 - 350 mile range and only put in 15-20 liters

after the ride back from Arizona my rear tire had almost 10,000 miles on it so i did a swap

just found some other stuff i did that i forgot to add

because of leaving to do the www.5000mileadventures.com scouting ride there is a lot of offroad riding i wanted bigger pegs, problems is being in the states finding some!!! Some companies claimed theres might fit??? So instead i had a spare stock set set so i jut made some wider pegs my self

i made them so they still fit the stock rubber tops, and i'm guessing you knew that hole in the passenger peg mount was the place to keep them when not in use??? Well it is now :lol3:lol3:lol3

Also having gone to a single can exhaust i had some space left over on the right side, so utilized the mount from the MTC exhaust and fitted a locking tool tube. I add some tools that were of approximate equal weight to the Exhaust can to balance the bike out again
