Bars

G'day,

A couple of questions...

Has anyone replaced their bars with a higher/raised after-market bar. I've read older posts about replacing themn for weight or strength resons, but not eronomics...

Checking out the all-popular off-the-road site they sell a MAGURA bar in a range of shapes/sizes. e.g. the "high handlbar" has the following dimensions (A=778, B=104 C=201 F1=198 H=92)

Does anyone know what the XTX currently has, so I could work out how these differ from the stock bar?

Regards
Mic

I was thinking about Bar Raisers myself. Does anyone know how these may change my ride? I figured it'd be better for when I was up on the pegs but for normal day-to-day riding would these make much difference. Also, has anyone noticed a change in handling after putting Brush Guards on, I guess it's the removal of my bar ends but in slow manouevering [sp] it's just not that stable anymore?

There doesnt seem to be much slack in the cables for raising the bars too much, why dont you try moving the bars forward a bit , i have done this and it gives the feeling of the bars being higher . as to the handling after fitting brush guards i cant say ive noticed a difference .

Top idea Buck, I'll give it a go at the weekend.
