so hacked off!........ (but better now)

So a few days ago I put my deposit down on an awesome xt660z, first attempt to pick up the bike and finalise paperwork dealer says 'im sorry we havent managed to put it through the workshop yet!

Few days later I get a phone call from dealer 'all is good lets finalise paperwork'. On arrival at dealership sale rep prints off all documents, as im reading through the docs I noticed the figures were all wrong and quiried it. The sales rep hadnt checked through the paperwork and the finance company had accepted but changed the terms of the contract.

So ive told the dealer were to shove it as they are obviously incapable and argued the toss to get my deposit back!

So im off to look at a diferent ten tomorrow! 16k miles in karkhi colour, got yam top box, heated grips and handguards. All for over 2k less in cost all be it a little bit older. Very clean motor.

So hopefully come tomorrow ill have propper paperwork with the right details for the right price! Lol

Ill let you all know how I get on!
Cheers chris.

Great Product, ****e Service

Bloody hell! And I thought it was only in the colonies that we got crappy service like that. We have some dealers here that give shocking service like you got, as if it's the first bike they've ever sold, it's almost enough to make you buy a Suzuki (no, not really).
They are lucky that they have great product to make up for their ****house customer service.
Enjoy your ride, hope it works out for you! Boneman :Christo_pull_hair::Christo_pull_hair:

maxwell123455 12-03-12 20:27

I can never understand why they cant sort things like this out as im sure it costs them a massive amount wasting peoples time and effectively money which could have been theres:rocketwhore:

stumpydave 12-03-12 21:53

+1 mr numbers, its just not good business sense

Dick Dastardly 12-03-12 23:34

Ever wonder why so many dealers are closing down with this type of treatment?

I'd have thought with the market the way it is that they would be working even harder to make you feel like a wanted customer!

Nowt as queer as folk

Chris1811 13-03-12 01:33

Cheer Guys,

I was pretty bummed out about it tbh but im kinda glad really because the one ill be looking at this morning is much nicer and a better deal!

yes the other one only had 400 miles on it but it needed lots of extra bits to get it to a comfortable all year round ride-ability ie heated grips and bush guards etc.

Ill let you all know what happens come the morning!!

Fingers crossed eh!

It must be fate, at least you'll get a proper colour!:smilies0923:

Well ive been to see the beast in the flesh this morning and she is a beauty.

Very clean and tidy no marks or scuffs, couple oh tiny dents in the yam top box but nothing too obvious! The chain and sprockets are orriginal and in good condition. There is a slight bit of bubbeling starting on the engine casing which ill knock him down on price for. It is a cover on the side stand side of the bike with a black tube going to it! No doubt i could take it off rub it down and repaint it.

Nice pair of avon dizantis (howevr the heck you spell it) on there, yam handguards and alarm system. And best of all its KARKHI coloured! Mmmmmmmm

So now waiting for the proposal to get accepted and as soon as it comes back deposit goes down, paper work is trippled checked using the hubble telescope and all being well ill be riding it to work this weekend!

So fingers crossed just waiting for that call!

Cheers chris!

Chris1811 13-03-12 13:17

mrfijjitt 17-03-12 11:06

Well, hope you survived the V-Twin Traktor ride.
My work friend (commuter companion) rides one in sometimes, (once or twice a year lololol), I'm always amazed he still squeezes through them gaps :080:. A whole new style of filtering.

Glad you got a new bike sorted!

Looking forward to some riding company up to the Lakes.

I'll check my personal organiser (MrsFijjitt) as we'll have to meet up for a ride out sometime soon :)

crowman 17-03-12 11:35

Just read this Post and One thing that Some Dealers forGet Good Custmer Service ,Cost nothing but Hope ya Get Sorted With Bike soon Mate.:smilies0944:

Chris1811 17-03-12 18:44

Picked her up today! Woop woop she is now sat on my driveway cooling off after a 70 mile wet ride home.

I cant get enough of it :p brilliant machine, the only gripe i have with it is the seat. Its well documented that it doesnt give you enough room to move around and it is surely true of this one. Hey hey give it a month and ill save up and have it re moulded!

Very much looking forward to my ride to work in the morning, its all on back fast twisty b roads! XT country!

boneman 18-03-12 10:50

The flying hearing aid

Looks great, funny how the crappy customer service is all but forgotten when the rubber hits the road!

Enjoy your flying hearing aid

Cheers, Boneman

It's just jealousy Chris. They will deny it, but the more they protest, the greener they become.

Chris1811 19-03-12 17:37

Here she is, officially home and on my driveway beaming in the typically undesicive british weather!

Have rode her to work the past few days and i am totally made up!

She really is a head turner which suprises me considering she isnt loud (yet)! Anyhu all is forgotten with the 1st dealer and I can move on and officially say............
