Shalom y'all!
Greetings,
I just picked up a new 2011 (1km) XTZ660 at the Haifa, Israel Yamaha dealer Friday morning. I rode it home to the Golan Heights, about a 120 km trip, being careful not to exceed the 4k rpm break-in limit. Not an easy trick on the twisty Golan mountain roads. I'm newly transplanted here; I'm from California, originally and had a KTM Super Enduro for fast riding in the vast expanses of the western US. My first order of business will be to add some ROX risers that I bought in the US to raise the bars a bit. Hopefully, the seat will become more comfortable after I get used to it... Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum. The wealth of information here is incredible and helped me with this purchase decision. I had no prior knowledge of this bike, since it is not imported to No. America. http://i.imgur.com/e4pgxl.jpg Ride safe, Max |

Would love to see some photos of the Golan area and of course the bike. |

I've never known a motorcycle seat to become "more comfortable"!

Come on, give me a break, I've only had the bike for two days! :102: BUT, I edited my first post with a pic just outside my village, the only one I have so far. I'll post some more photos when I get a chance to do some traveling this week. The Givi Trekker case is not esthetically pleasing, but I put it on initially for the shake down cruise to make sure it stayed put. I'll be using it only for errands and when I take my wife for a spin. Thanks for the hearty welcome! |
Hey up buddy welcome onboard!
Hope the motor is living up to your expectations! |
