Starting to plan a trip late june or early july 2012 anyone interested?

Departing Newcastle, aiming inland via Carnarvon gorge, Cairns etc etc. back via coast road.

ive been thinking of doing this for a few years now but one thing or another always comes up, anyway are you going past brisbane? also are you doing it on your own or with support ie 4x4,have you got a route in mind yet?
will you be doing it on a tenere?
& whats you time scale

On Monday, my boss and I failed to see eye to eye yet again, so I decided to leave before I snotted him (it is bound to happen, I'll put $20 on it that someone does before Christmas). It amazes me that a company can loose 7 of 25 staff and on body up the food chain looks into it. Anyway new job today, no leave in July.
