Hiya the weather still shocking here bike been in hiding since I changed them few weeks back so not had chance.... It literally pours down every day I really want to sort it too argh

Just a cautionary note/tip... You may find the the aluminium you've used (alloys aren't as bad) gets eaten away over time at the edges (where in contact with the steel end of the swing arm) by galvanic corrosion, weakening the structure. It'd be prudent to insulate the two different metals.

On the super tenere xtz750 they are made of aluminium and the swing arm is steel. The might actually fit ?

Min had done over 100.000km and was 20years old when i sold it. Did not have any issue with that part. The engine and front forks looked much worse.

The XTZ750 adjusters are/were an alloy casting, not plain aluminium, which is more than likely why you had no trouble. And indeed, as you say, they may well fit the X/R too...
