o2 sensor
hiya just been on the phone to dyno jet pricing up a power commander for my xt660x 56 plate (registered jan 07) and i believe the year of my bike is on the the border between when it has an o2 sensor and when it doesn't.
I believe there would be 4 wires somewhere on the exhausts if it does have the sensor but not quite sure exactly where? I'll have a look see if i have any joy finding them. Dyno jet stated that if it does have the sensor then i need the pc5 as it comes with sensor inc, if bike dont then pc3 will do. Anyone any ideas? or alternatives? thanks |
If your bike has a O2 sensor it is located in the left front exhaust header.
It fits here. http://www.xt660.com/site/files/images/o2sensor3.preview.jpg You can fit a PCV or PIII to any year XT660X/R from 2004 to 2011 they all fit & work. If your bike has an O2 sensor & you want to get the fueling spot on you need one of my O2 eliminators or one of Dyno jets emulizers + the Power Commander you want to buy. |
thanks for your quick response. Can this bolt be seen without having to remove and panels etc?

Timboo, before committing to DynoJet, please pm me for a quote as I have a supply direct from the factory.
As for the 02 Sensor this is visible (if present) on the left hand side header that comes from the cylinder and its about halfway from the cylinder to the radiator and can easiliy be seen without removing any panels. |
In this photo I have removed the O2 sensor & blocked off the hole with a blanking plug, if your exhaust pipe has a o2 sensor it will be bolted to the lft hand exhaust header.
