Hi Timboo. I've done a few hundred miles now on Pilot Road 3 (see other post). Grip on cold December dull, wet morning is AMAZING!! They don't seem to need warming up at all! Interesting to see what mileage will be like, but 100% certain they will outlast the OE tyres (2k FFS!)

keep me posted if you could i have about 2 months left on my current tyres so keeping my options open and happy to go off real life experiences rather than a manufacturers impartial opinion!!

eneded up sticking with another trusty set of diablos as been really happy with them, prob not the cheapest but worth it in my eyes

nah, you want a pair of Avon Distanzias, or a Distanzia rear with an Avon pro extreme wet front. Nice

Hmmm.... That old chestnut!!
My Pilot Road 3's have now clocked up 2.5k miles - tread on rear is still around 5mm, even in centre. Shoulders scallop quite badly, but I assume this is due to a combination of my cr*p riding style & thumper drivetrain characteristics. Anyway, what advantage do the Avons have?? Is the SM compound as long wearing? How sticky? Do they really do offroad????
