Rear hugger for Tenere

My beloved Tenere spends most of its life commuting on filthy roads through the winter.

I see that Pyramid do a rear hugger for the Ten', has anyone got one - and if so, is it any good?

That's what I'm hoping; my old Speed Triple had a hugger and it did seem to save a fair amount of mess.

I think I shall order myself one - I'll let you know once I've got it fitted.

I would be interested in your findings as well as the majority of my riding is road based. The old GS and my Bulldog both had them fitted and it did keep the crap for getting all over the suspension etc.

But there's a huge piece of rubber OE fitted that does that job really well.

Hmm, judging by all the quarry dust and crap splattered all over my shock and swingarm, I'm not entirely convinced that the rubber does a lot of good - although perhaps it'd be even more filthy without it...

I've no idea a hugger will help, but the one on my old Speed triple certainly seemed to keep things a little cleaner.

one couldnt really call the rubber peace huge could one...Ive ordered a hugger from OTR witch Im sure will do a better job of protecting my new hlins back there.

My Pyramid Plastics hugger arrived a couple of weeks before Christmas, but I simply haven't found the time to fit it yet! I'll see if I can get some garage time this week though...

I got the rear hugger and the front fender extension in one order from OTR; the f-f-e I kept(does a good job), the hugger I got rid of(didn't meet my expactations for keeping the dirt off the rear and the combo of knobbier tyres-Heidenau Scouts- and lotsa speedbumps and bad roads and occasional offroad/gravel roads doesn't work well too....). But for commuting it might work well.
Greetz, Hans.

Piccies were taken November 2010, when I still ran the Tourances, that worked better then with the Scouts.
