firstly do you have everything
spacers triangle fixing plate and bolts if so its not too bad

you need to discard the long tank bolts behind the plastic side covers thats were the spacers go
the tri plate fits at the bottom of the cradle frame

but if you have a bashplate on not by motech they wont fit

mine is not a great example as the engine bars fitted i cut and shut to go with the motech bars but may give you a few pointers
i would say though that this set up gives good protection low and high ive got the scars to prove it grrrrrr

whats the black rubber you've placed against the engine/water pump casings.

Thanx Minkyhead just what i needed, i have a Yamaha bash
plate on that was the problem, i will take it off & have
another go. I will have to see if i can cut n shut it back
on after or sell it & get another one, your a Star.

the pads are shoulder pads off me body armour they remakably fit n just so no drilling or such probably overkill

the yam engine bars and bash plate have been good ..the weak point is the rear cradle ..as the alloy is folded where the bolts pass through and its piss poor on the joints

the mild steel bolting point has proved really good ..after that it has taken a lot a real lot of bashing about

if you have the o/e bash plate a grinder and a welder it really is very good atb taking big hits .. once you have put the rear support cradle in

all of the other bash bars leave the water pump exposed or cover it and leave the rad exposed ... i think long term its as good as a solution you will get ..but a bit of dicking about reequired

if you have no bash plate fitted im sure other brads than yamaha are te way to go

ps halfords gl;oss black is as near as dammit a perfect match when you spray up
