Agree. You can use the pack either way round though. Depends whether you want the pillion seat or use the rack for a tent etc.

Have used these loads and can confirm they are great.

With the pack facing forward you have space for your tent and extra gear at the back. Works well.

hmm, the word waterproof does not feature anywhere in Ventura's descriptions that I can see. Not really an option for a serious bag then IMHO.

I have just ordered one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2508184221...84.m1423.l2648 a flat rack from Australia. Worked out at �115 but I had it delivered to a friend in Oz as my wife was there and is bringing it back in her luggage :) Any sort of top box adapter plate should be able to be bolted onto it with the help of a drill. I have a big trip in the planning and will looking at a Giant Loop Great Basin combined with a dry bag and a tank bag of some sort as luggage.
