i nearly crossed the river but the bottom has a mind o its own im afraid
hers a few clips taken by a fellow rider
andy on the ktm had a bad bruise but was not very expeirianced and did really well to get over some tough bits of trail as did everyone
i suspected the rider on the super 10 was pretty handy ..me know ing nothing it turned out to be nick plumb ..whho has finished the paris dakar twice .. he sure could handle that big bike and was patiant with us mere mortals too

this lady was a real good rider it was probably th big old gs and her small heght that caught her out ..but she was tough with it

it was a lovely trail ..sarn helen it had a bit of everything
im not a great off road talent i admit ..
the rocky decent to the river was some what outside my breif
on a xr 250 or somthing i would have no problem but ..on the big bike it was far more daunting

if i was with a couple of mates and not in such a big group /i think two of us would have walked the tenere down together to keep safe ..not spectacular but easy ,,and then just carry on enjoying the trail

the problem with the tenere is the height ..while a lot of guys could padlle it down ..its hit and miss if you can get a foot down its so uneven .. thats why i waited for everyone was out of the way so i could try and keep going
the bike will do it i know ..i lack some confidence ..i broke my shoulder a few yeas ago and chopped me toes in the rear sprocket all in one move
its not easy to shove it out of your mind

there were 4 tumbles on the way down or in the creek by different people
i think if i was in a small group of freinds [ no peir pressure ]
or abroad somwhere 1000s of miles away i would have asked for help to walk it down ..as a broken bike or sprain would be seriuos abroad

still it was a good expiriance and a good challenge ..
the rest of the trails were good fun on a big bike

would i do it again .. yes ..defo but id think id swallow me pride on that bit and ask for some help

minkyhead, I'm being serious when I say that imo you did a bloody good job on that snotty rock trail. I don't know that I could've done it. Some years ago I had a reasonable crash in the rocks of the Victorian high country, and it's always in the back of my (scared) mind. So mate, good for you.
