fitting Kev's mode
Hi guys,
I took the xt to fitt the new stuff that I got finally this week.I'm doing a lot on it so whenever it's ready I'll post a picture, my only concern is my mechanic will be able to fitt Kev's mod only in 2 weeks time and told me that we might put in the dyno to see how the bike is doing and then we take from there.I told him it supose to be a quick thing to do! He said, do You know if really works? I read all about and it's guaranteed 99% surge free!! It seems that he's trying to take a few more hours of labour on top of me!!! rip me off?????:confused5:don't know.Is there any quick explanation about the mode? Hey dude, you have todo this and that, job done!!! thanks |
You are most welcome to dyno test the O2 mod if you want to, there has been a few guys that have done just that by testing the mod on a dyno & with data loggers & are happy it works. The proof comes when you ride your bike after the mod has been fitted, it will work or it won't you will be the judge of that.
Ask your dyno man to try & build a fuel map without the O2 mod, I bet you won't be able to map the fueling without the O2 mod below 4000rpm. If he wants to test the mod on the dyno I hope he is not going to charge you, he will need to do a before & after dyno run to do a fare comparison. If you are worried about fitting the mod yourself I can always talk you through the fitment if you want, I am alway here to help out. I would not publicly sell these mods in an open forum if they did not work. Have a read on this thread about riders reviews. http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=14746&page=8 |
Kev's mode
Hey kev,
Sorry mate I did not doubt you or your skills as an expert on the subject!!! The question was about if the guy was trying to rip me off about the dyno room because I guess he's gonna charge me for that with this talk if the mod works or not!!! I'm sure it does otherwise why would I buy it for? the thing is I'm not good enough to fitt myself and just want to get to the guy and say here is the job that you have to do, simple as that, I'm not mechanic mate or have the knowledge either.Just want to get it done in the most easy and cheapest way possible.thanks |
If the dyno man is going to do a before & after run for free I would say go for it, if he wants you to pay extra then I would ride the bike after wards & make up your own mind. I used to run a Suzuki dealership & know exactly how these guys think.
Just remember all my mods come with a 100% money back guaranty, if you don't like the mod or feel it does not meet your expectations then send it back & I will refund the purchased price no questions asked. You can't loose. |
hey i would fit the fuel mod yourself, I managed it, it really is very simple just take your time and read the instructions carefully and maybe get someone to double check your handy work.
GOOD LUCK |
