apparently they found the fault and fixed it! a broken wire that went to the ignition. they have to test ride it tomorow and i hope that's it. i can't wait to get back on it

oh yes, great news, bke is fixed now, i picked id up yesterday, i was a broken wire underneath the dash, connected to the ignition, so all fixed. i had to pay 2 hours labour and i think it's fair enough, keeping in mind that they had the bike for 9 days. and they promised me a discount when i'll do the 16000miles service. not bad. i was like a kid at christmass when i got back on it:smilies0948:

well, not so happy ending, fuse blew again so the bike is back at the yamaha garage

As I thought a broken wire can not cause a fuse to blow, a + wire would need to be shorted to earth to blow a fuse.
