Otr
Hi guys,I was just wondering if anyone else has had trouble getting goods delivered from the OTR website.Placed my order on the 9th June and payed through Paypal (1200 euros) and still not received my stuff.I e mailed them and they said they are waiting for stuff to arrive from the manufacturers. Why advertise parts if you don't have them in stock, was supposed to be 48hr delivery time, that was 16 days ago and still waiting. Not happy.:violence:

That's OTR, have heard this story many times before.

What you say isn't good and I agree that vendors shouldn't take payment for items not in stock and it helps if they state what's in and what's not on the website. However, to be fair to OTR I've had no trouble with them? (4 purchases over last 18 months)
What did you order? (Purely out of interest) |
OTR is a lottery. Good products but with very unpredictable customer service.
Some people have been having a rough ride and some a breeze. He has been known to send not what you buy but a similar brand to what you click buy on, which in this country its illegal and he gets away with it. |

I got a PC-V from them... the box was tampered, O2 optimiser was missing, fitting instructions were altered (against dynojet polict - checked it with them) ... big story... Dynojet knows about it. German distributor also knows about it (but it seems they don't give a f%@* also) They scam their customers and something must be done. |

Everyone who seams to have issues, from what I can see, deals through the website only. I didn't, I emailed them and they got back very quickly. There are some very good technical reasons why things might be on a website, but not in stock (not least it's a huge <network> security risk joining stock controll with the web, and cost to safeguard against), so it's always good advice, when dealing with small companies, to check they have the stuff. Email or a phone call will often save you problems in the future. |

I had exactly that problem! I ordered (and paid for) Wilbers fork oil and he send Castrol fork oil. When I emailed him and asked why he did that he said it's of equal quality and sometimes he sells Wilbers, Castrol etc...I don't care if it is of the same quality, I wanted what I bought!!! |
Gess your not going for the modding in a slow way!!!
Havent ordered from OTR myself but read alot about others dealings and as GULG says, try any means to contact them, phone, email, pigeon etc, sometimes compaies have so many different ways of contacting, one system takes ages, where as others take secs. |

Exactly... I exchanged more than 10 mails with them. My main point was that they should inform the buyers for what they are buying. His point was (for the PC-C) was that they have been installing them for more than 3 years and it can work fine without the O2 Optimiser (which is wrong -as dynojet confirmed). I want what I paid for! If I wanted something else I would buy it and maybe from another dealer. This is scam :violent5: |

Never good to hear stories like in this thread. But to OTR's defence i have to say that all three orders i placed were correctly delivered only days after placing them. One placed 6 days before Xmas was fitted to the bike on Xmas day!!
Still don't agree with taking payments before dispatch of products. Rob |
Well still no bits, website saying "Not Yet Shipped" so have sent ****ty e mail this evening,it's not good enough to take someone's money (over a grand)knowing you can't supply the goods cause you ain't got em in stock. He's had my money for 20 days and I've had no e mails or phone call to tell me when I'm likely to receive my goods, for all I know it could be Xmas. He's got until end of week to get goods to me or refund money, after that it goes legal.Sorry to go on boys but I'm seriously pissed off about this and would like to warn others to be very wary about OTR.

ive heard the same kinda stories about OTR,,, Id buy nuthin fae them...:sbike:

Ordered new front forks (tubes) received 2nd hand ones for more than the new price from Yamaha. Thorsten suck's
|
Finally spoke to them on the phone tonight, they didn't seem to think there was a problem,I couldn't believe it,they said they had all the stuff in stock apart from the number plate bracket for the tail tidy but the company that made them had been on holiday for two weeks and that's why they were holding back on the whole order,I said didn't they think that keeping their customers informed about what's going on would be a good idea seeing as they have had my money for getting on for a month, didn't seem bothered, anyway they gonna send goods out tomorrow so maybe I have my new headers, cans,DNA stage 1 and 2 filters and led back light soon.Fingers crossed.

I hope everything goes well for you!
All I have to say is that since the last time I ordered from OTR and he sent me other brands from what I paid for, I decided that there is no other trusted "place" like the XT660 forum to buy things. I just sent a pm to CaptMoto and he was more than willing to help me! |

I'm sorry for bumping such an old thread, but it has to be done :P
I've already bought and received a sump guard, raiser and some random stuff. At the moment i got an order for MIVV's and a tankbag, hopefully they'll arrive asap. I have a feeling OTR isnt as bad as they used to be, but if thats not the case... Do you guys know of any other stores which you recommend? (that might have the same stuff as OTR ofc) |

I have made 2 orders with them... Two dissapointing ones... For the first order I did not get what I ordered, there was a mistake on their website so he decided I wanted something else (pegs). And secondly I ordered the extensed throtle cable of wich the closer is clearly lacking quality and does not have a right fit causing the throtlle to stay open. There are expensive enough to be better than oem! But no... I am asking a refund or replacement but by the looks of it, it is going to be a no go...
Looking for an alternative shop! Any tips are welcome! |
I used them twice last year and their service was terrible both times. I wont use them again unless no other alternative.
|
To be fair they were pretty good with me, I had ordered an O2 optimiser and then later decided for the PCV, they matched the price of the combined deal they had even though I ordered separately and then when I had issues with my O2 optimiser not long after (Speedo wasnt stable after installing, jumped around at steady speeds etc) they accepted a return no problems.
I would use them again if I needed something else. Kevs O2 mod sorted the speedo problem thankfully :occasion14: |
