yup yup just got my quote through for 100 all in and thats before I start searching then haggling. hastings direct actually advised me to cancel and then re insure so I get the new business price every year, result am happy at 100 quid but I will be happier with 70 :) ohh I aint that old either but got 9 years no claims just keep searching around and pay what you can afford then slowly it will go down. |
Another thing is look at exactly what they're quoting you for. You be surprised what sort of "add-ons" they include (or don't)! Do you really need the insurer's breakdown cover for example if you've already paid for it, have new bike with Yamaha Assist or get it with your bank account for free? I was talking to a girl at work only the other day who had just realised she'd got three lots of breakdown cover for her car!
Protected no claims? Helmet and leathers cover? European cover? Pillion cover? Legal cover? Luggage? The list is endless, and they all add to the cost whether included, or added on... What do you personally need? Find the cheapest quote, then get that policy (who ever its with) tailored exactly to you needs, don't accept their initial "off the shelf" quote. |
just got mine sorted 79 for the year fully comp plus protected no claims and pillion cover, will get 10 cash back in three months so result
was considering 3rd party f&t for 59 always seek out a new policy to reinsure just costs you extra |
Just renewed my insurance. 201 for the new Ten and the old Ten as company vehicles in one. Fully comp and no excess. All else covered. Pleased.
Must be age. Bus pass and winter fuel allowance next. Rob |
