My Old Xtx

I've just noticed my xtx that I traded in at Foleys motorcycles, Fenton, Stoke on Trent. Price Quoted is 2895. They dont mention in the ad thats its got a New Rear Tyre (distanzia) and new Gold x link chain & sprockets. Its also got a Kev mod fitted, mtc cans, new front brake pads, The cush drives been moded ie packed out, and also had a recent service. Its also got a Scotoiler fitted, NGK Iridium Plug, and a headlight bulb upgrade. Though I did refit the airbox snorkel which will pull out again easy enough. They are advertising it as 2007 which is when it was first reg'd, but not sure what year model it is. It is a good bike though and it never let me down. Hope it goes to a good home. :Gangsta2_9BI664:

It's not a 07, all 2007 XTX models have a O2 sensor in the left front exhaust header.

Yep, when I first came on the website I think I was told it was probably an 05! :sad5:

Looking at the front fork legs is more than likely an 05 model.

Thing is they can advertise it as a 07 as that's when it was first registed, to the unknowledgable:100: they wont know any different which seems wrong. :icon_pale:

They don't do that in Oz, a vehicles year is the date it is built not registered.

You can have a 05 model registered in 07 but the value will always be based on the built date which is 05.

to be fair... its not an 07 but he isnt asking 07 money for it either.

been a customer at Foley motorcycles for more than 30 years, they were Yam main dealers at one time and its where i got my first bike a DT175 MX in 1980, no one there will be trying to sell anything thats not all it should be that can be taken as fact
Main man is not only a Kev but also owns an 05 XTX, can't get a better referance than that

Yes I get on well with Kev at Foleys. I told him he should sell his xtx and keep mine! Phil the main mechanic there seems very good too. What makes me laugh is how regular customers answer the phone for them when they are busy:laughing7:. Always a very friendly atmosphere in the shop.;)
