Thanks for your support for my London Marathon
 

Just a belated note to say thanks again to all who helped raise money for my marathon run. Orchid where very happy with my well over �2000 target raised.

My time was 4hrs 10mins 43secs which was way better than I expected due to te injury I had 3 months prior to the big day. The feeling of running through those crowds and crossing that finish line with thousands of people cheering my name was better than any gig I have ever done. It surpasses every thrill I have ever had (second only to the birth of my baby boy last year). I am now cycling and trying to organize something with Orchid that is more punishing than the VLM for 2012!

I am working at last even though it is rubbish pay and very boring (I will use it to study photography and/or physiotherapy). My partner and myself are now looking at a larger aim of in the future opening a biker/cycle/runner/nature/photography friendly b&b (a dream of ours) in the coming years.

It has been a crazy year since being diagnosed with cancer and in two weeks I will get my CT scan results for yesterday which will mark one year since remission. The VLM gave me a taste of what I or anyone can be capable of if we just apply ourselves with passion and I hope that it might inspire you and others to achieve something that you otherwise thought not possible.
