I have used D606s on four big singles. I found them to be a great all-round tyre - as long as you don't over-inflate them for use on the road. I had one throw every second knob on a hot day with about 26psi in it. That is the only one I ever had problems with.
Even covering long distance at, say, 120kph, running about 20psi, I found them to last and last. I got 8000 km out of one on a TE610E. About 50/50 road/dirt, but long-distance dirt, with stone and hard pack, some sand and dirt highways. I think you can use them with confidence.
