XT660Z Tenere World Traveller

As seen in Dortmund at the Zweirad Messe: a concept bike with several interesting parts by Yamaha Germany.
-sort of rally design saddle;
-roadbookholder by Touratech;
-handguards, panniers, centrestand, alu bashplate, headlightprotection by Yamaha;
-coloured side protection and screen;
Akra pipes;
-TKC80's
-etc..
Don't know if it'll actually be sold.
Greetz, Hans.

Looks like a similar concept to what they did with the 1200 Super Ten for the Milan Show.

That is the World Crosser, I've seen that concept bike at the Intermot in Kln and at the Motorbeurs in Utrecht. This is the World Traveller Tenere, there was also a World Traveller Super Tenere, both concept bikes, try-outs. It's probably all about developing new possibilities to sell more bikes, hearing feedback from customers on these concept bikes. Time will tell if these bikes will be available to buy, or eventually some used parts(like the painted screen for example).

at the Brussels motorcycle show I was told that the world crosser would not be commercialized as a bike. But some of the parts (like the additional fuel tank) would become available as after market add-ons.

I quite like it with the painted screen.

Jenny I noticed you polished your bash plate to shine.
Did that shine stayed or eventually become mat... i mean with corroded spots/stains?

Eventually it will go dull, but mirror polishing (like you would on wheels etc) does last very well... I've ridden the bike in rain and mud, washed it off and it is still very shiny...

But basically I got it polished because I had all the paint (and etching primer) stripped off it after I can back from Heroes-Legend (it was painted yellow if you recall), and it made sense to get it cleaned up once the paint was off...
