Hyperpro failing on me?

Hi,
few days ago, I noticed this thamage on my rear Hyperpro progressive spring.
The spring was bought 10 months ago, and I dont think its ok, that it looks like this already.
The bike is still 14 months in warranty, and I want it to look good also.
I have made an official complaint to the manufacurer and I am waiting for their reply. I never did any mechanical/phisical damage to the spring.
I always use bike specific cleaners, so I really dont think this damage is my fault.
Only thing I did to this spring is that I ride it, but hey, thats what its build for.
I am waiting for their reply, and I hope they will give me a new spring.

I apologise for a dirty picture, but we have some rainy days here.
What do you folks think about it?

you could just get it powder coated....? Shouldn't cost much at all, if the powder coaters stick it in with a batch of something else....

If it was on my bike I wouldnt be happy with that after such a short period of time and would expect a replacement.

i wouldn't be happy with that at all.

no...but it will be cheaper to get it powder coated than to send it back in the post !!!!! (providing a powder coater is local)

I would be asking for a replacement spring. The power coating has come off because the spring was not rust treated first.

Just to keep you on track....
So far I managed to get confirmation from Hyperpro/Calsport.
They agreed I got faulty spring.
They say that this never hapened before.
They promised me new spring... weeks ago.
It should be delivered already, but they said:

"Just an update regarding your spring.
We had a delivery turn up late last week, but your spring wasn't present.
It should be on the next delivery due in 5 days."

That was 9 days ago, and no message update.
Hmmm.
I still have some faith.
Will let you know how it ended.

Problem solved

Since the problem is solved, the only right thing for me is to inform you all that Calsport and Hyperpro did not fail on me and their reputation is clean!

Last week I recieved a package from Calsport/Hyperpo.
I received a brand new spring, since they agreed that my first one was faulty manufactured somehow.

I can say I was not pleased that they took so much time to solve this situation, and sent me another one, but the bottom line is that we managed to solve it after all.

So my Tenere has a shiny new shock spring again!
