I really like it, but its too expensive for me :)
Im already some what of a sponsor for TT I got the Sw-Motech one, as the TT doenst fit in combo with the SW crash bars. |
I bought the bash plate/toolbox combo soon after I got the bike in 2008. It's a nice, well built, if expensive bit of kit unfortunately with one draw back - it is a arse to get tools in and out because the lid only opens half way due to the exhaust header on the left (not an issue on KTM Adventure, which was the bike this part was actually designed for). I modded mine with clevis pin and R-clips to make the lid quick release. This has saved my knuckles being skinned whenever a need to find a tool.
However, I'm working on a slightly more refined quick release lid system as we speak. Watch this space... http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a..._6276small.jpg Note - nylon washers are superglued in place on the lid. Oh, nearly forgot: It is worth sealing the four holes in the front (spray from wheel gets in) with silicone from the inside before you fit it, leave the lower two open for drainage (water doesn't seem to get in here). |
I found the same thing with mine and removed the box. Gave me the ****s.

Hmm...

Wowthanks there Pleiades, theres some extra work to be done when the thing is fitted :017: Is it fit for purpose I wonder? :sad8: Pssaw the holes and Id wondered about that too. |
Touratech
I have the big gaurd fitted which was a doddle but couldn't see a purpose for the box so I did'nt bother with one. Nice bit of kit but pricey.

Hello,
I also got the Bashplate, but I'm having an hard time figuring it out how to install it without disassemble the engine supports. Would it be possible to provide some hints on the process? Thanks. |

I hear the this tool box is as water tight as a
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s.../sieve_jpg.jpg I would not want my tool's getting wet all the time, and for that sort of money I would expect it to be water tight without having to mod it. Just my 2p worth Dazzer |
