brake pads worn uneven

hi again, well i checked my brakes today and realised that the rear pads are worn out uneven. the outside one is got about 2mm left in it and the inner one about 4mm left in it. they're EBC's i changed them at the end of august last year and done about 4000 miles on them. any ideeas why is one worn more then the other? many thanks:102:

The XT660 does wear the one pad more than the other a bit, 2mm that so far might be a start of a problem did you make sure your brake caliper siders are free?

With the brake piston pushed all the way in on the bike you should be able to slide the caliper back wards & forwards on it's sliders, if it is not free then you will wear out one pad quicker.

I agree with Kev. Ive an R and found that the sliders regulary need lubing to ensure its freely moving.
