Wet weather / winter tyre

Had my bike for a week, 2nd hand. It has come with Bridgestone BT020 rear, and a DUNLOP DT220 front. the roads in and around sheffield are in a nightmare condition after the snow, and i am feeling the bike "move" in corners or if the surface is a little suspect, add that with then being wet, life is not to comfortable.

I use the bike as my main transport, mainly A and B roads, with a bit of dual carriage way.

Any suggestions on a good wet weather / winter tyre, that is not going to shred to badly in the dry??

Avon Distanzia, best allround XTX tyre. Some love the looks some hate them. I think they are excellent.

Anakees??

They always felt grippy in wet or dry conditions - on tarmac that is.

For an XT-X I would say either Avon road legal wets- clicky or Goldspeed road tyres clicky

Just about to order a set of Avon distanzia, front and rear, from the local dealer. Being quoted 199 fitted. Is this about right?

dont do it!..........................

Get a distanzia rear and a pro xtreme wet for the front, without doubt the best combination there is for an X. I have run mine all year long and the avon wet on the front grips in all weather conditions without fail, its also done about 3k miles now and still looks in good shape!

price is about right as well...
