       hi flo Oil filters?

Hi Everyone are Hi-Flo oil filters good? seen some reasonably priced ones on Ebay at 2.75, just wondering where there made? heard a horror story of a chinese made filter giving up the ghost and wrecking someones engine. or is it better to stick with the genuine Yamaha one?

the saving between buying a 2.75 filter and an 8 genuine one won't cover the cost of an engine rebuild, is it a gamble worth taking?
genuine everytime for me and changed every 3K miles |

Hi flow filters are a load of bull,
standard filters all day long for me, If standard were no good you would see blown motors all over the place, v-tec |

I would fit nothing else but a OEM filter.

If you mean the hiflo brand in the green and black boxes, they're fine... I use them all the time... it's the brand that Race Spec sell...

I've used them for years on numerous Suzuki DR's with no issues upto 80k miles. I currently use Champion on my Ten (X302 - IIRC) which are readily available at Halfords. Cheers, Rick |

i used hiflo - and still use them, no problems at all. i change the filter and the oil every 2000-2500 miles. i guess everyone's got different opinions, and yes, i used hiflo on different type of bikes
