Ride to Moto GP - Phillip Island
Is anyone else going to join the thousands of riders making their way to the Island for this year's Moto GP action? There will be groups of riders heading down over all three days (Fri 15 - Sun 17 Oct).
I plan to join the organized ride from Cranbourne on Saturday 16th, meeting 8:15am and departing from 10am. Then hang around until it's boring or too cold and head back. http://www.casey.vic.gov.au/gprun/ |
A bit to far for me on my XTX.

Paul even if it's sunny, prepare for the chilly winds down there. If it is 22*C in Melbourne, it's more like 18*C down at the island because it's so open and close to the ocean! Most riders leave their riding jackets on throughout the day. I hope it's nice too!

how far in advance do you have to buy tickets for the gp there? im looking into going on a working holiday in australia and would love to go to phillip island and watch the race (never been to a motogp event before and would love to see it in oz)

mozza You can buy tickets at the gate. General admin would be fine however I suspect you may wish to purchase grand-stand tickets early as that is designated seating.
