oil leak
 
i was at the ulster gp road racing in belfast the other day gave the bike a hard spin up and back from sligo,when i went out to clean the bike today i noticed oil leaking from around my gear lever and my gear lever seems to be a small bit loose?any idea what the problem is for the oil leak??isit a seal or what???thanks in advance

First of all have you a scot oiler? Some times after a big run or if youve oiled the chain a little too much all the oil gets spun up to the front after a hard run and forms on the gear lever area.

There is a seal on the shaft of your gear lever, mine seemed to be leaking after a few hard runs but after i kept an eye on it was fine. Bought the seal anyway just in case i wanted to fit it or the bike decided to spill its gutts onto the garage floor.

Naw no scott oiler dude but i took it apart earlier that oil seal was a bit fooked so guna replace it better safe than sorry thanks for the reply :)

Also forgot to mention my gear lever although the shaft doesnt move front to back or up and down (if your sitting on the bike) it does however slide the shaft in and out of the engine by a good few mills but ive not had any problems with it so didnt want to hock and smash at bits:064:
