Paddock Stand

Hi guys, I recently bought a paddock stand for keeping the bike indoors thru winter, but I'm not too sure exactly where to position the stand on the swingarm.

The little 'swingarm holders' have a soft material on them to prevent scratching, but tend to slide the bike forward if pushed even gently. Now you all might ask who the feck is gonna push my bike, but (1) I live an apartment & the underground carpark is for all to use and (2) I live an earthquake zone so I dont want the smallest tremor to topple the bike over.

I've been looking at users pics and some have them right at the end of the swingarm, and some more towards the front. Whats the best position for long term storage?

Thanks guys ;)

Just leave it on the side stand, get 2 small rubber car wedges place one on the outside of each wheel to stop the bike rolling forward or backwards. Best thing to do is to fit an anchoring point and use a lashing belt to tighten the bike down.

Try a metal rod/bar/bolt through the rear axle & use the hooks you use for pic up knobs. But like the Capt said "chock the wheels".:icon_compress:

Cheers for the input guys :icon_rendeer: I'd rather have it on the stand Capt, as its gonna be staying put until April but the chocks are a good idea! As is your idea with the metal bar Nobby :thumbsup[1]:
