Very nice... specially the :660: sticker! :yahoo:

wimpster 30-06-10 21:33

Is that GIVI screen any improvement over the stock item?? How taller/wider is it??

mudmatt 30-06-10 21:51

Definitely wider and a few inches taller much better than the original

Good looking front mud guard. Just for the looks or are you going to do some serious dirt digging (= tires mismatch) ?

A Bit of both hopefully, mostly on road, but looking to venture off the beaten track in the future :thumbsup[1]:

Nice mudmatt, all very commonsense and practical mods (upgrades?) with some more to come by the sound of it.

Cheers, i don't like the screen, i get really buffetted from the wind with it, gonna get rid of it.

I now have the cheap e-bay footpegs as well, i find them a lot more comfortable and easy to stand up on the bike now

Oh no not what I really wanted to hear... missed out on one on Ebay a couple of weeks ago and just placed an order today with www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk as I managed to get them to pricematch. Surely it's got to make an improvement over the stock screen.

Nice mods btw.

Mine came with the bike along with the original, tried them both and the Givi doesn't suit me at all, where as the original is a lot better for me personally.
So hopefully it will suit you better, I'm 5'10" for height comparison

wimpster 05-07-10 21:08

Thats disappointing to hear, as I'm finding the stock screen totally shoite and I'm 5'10" too!! Does anyone out there make a screen that actually works for these bikes????

mudmatt 05-07-10 21:15

Hmmmm, just spoken to a mate of mine and he said that the peak on my Arai Tour-x will make a difference, so tomorrow i will try the Givi & OEM screen without the peak on and see what happens. Will let you know tomorrow:headhack:

uncle ricky 05-07-10 21:30

Metal Mule screen works fine for me with my helmets one is peaked and one is not. The peaked one I wore on my recent trip to France which included coming back via Motorway in England with no problems at all and I am 5' 10

tenyamman 07-07-10 23:31

just bought one of these screens and comes tomorrow. i best send straight back.
i've also tried the metal mule one and still not much diff so bending with a hot air gun !!!! wish me luck.
