PCIII vs. CO1-mod
Hi,
as I am far from a technician perhaps you guys can shed some light on this issue. I bought a bike with a pcIII installed and, from what I've been told, it has been mapped using a Dyno when first bought. I haven't seen a graph of it but the reciept. When using a PCIII, is it at all interesting to alter the CO1 value or is it this type of mods that the PCIII do? What I mean is, does the PCIII override whatever value entered as CO1 or shall I start playing around with the value? Best regards Joel - the head scratcher. |
With a proper map, the PC does all the job, no need to play with the CO settings, leave it standard -every bike has its own standard setting-.
Have fun, j. |
Thanks for that! And I will. Have fun, that is!

99% of dyno tuners do not build a fuel map below 2000rpm when using a Power Commander. This is not a problem as the XT does not really suffer from fueling problem below 2000rpm, as mentioned leave your CO standard.
One important thing make sure your AIS is blocked off, otherwise your fuel map will be made wrong. |
