Some DynoJet/PC3 map testing today.

Wasn't perfectly happy with my map after running the Kev fuel map for the last couple of weeks.

Quote:

Yamaha XT660X 01 ECU
S/Steel Carbon Can Co Cans with baffles in
DNA stage 1 & 2 filters
Modified Air Box with Air Snorkel removed
Kev current map 18/04/07
So thought i'd try a different map to see if i could make it a bit better as i was getting a bit of throttle hesitation at times.

2005 Yamaha XT 660 German model
2005 Stock ECU
Stock headpipes
Arrow ECE approved silencers with Db Killer installed
Airbox intake snorkel and lid removed
DNA Stage 2 Filter Kit installed
Went for the above which is the M412-518.djm from the list on here. Felt a lot better and seems to have smoothed it out a lot. Possibly becuase i'm still running the Baffle/DB killers in my CCC cans and this map probably fits more of my criteria that Kevs above.

Should really check my ECU and see what version i have on my 06 plate really just in case i go for another.

Just for info i have an 06 XTX with CCC stubby cans, baffles in, PC3, Stage and stage 2, snorkel removed, AIS blocked up.

About to rain here so never got many miles in on the test, but enough to be a bit happier.

That's why I recommend one to try different maps, I have found most of the European maps to rich in Australia. Climate altitude & different blends of fuels make a big difference to the mapping.

I noticed the same thing. After i installed my PCV i tried Kev's 2007 XTX 30.04.2008 and simon-kettleXT660map2 fuel map and found that my bike likes simon-kettleXT660map2. fuel map. My bike is now runs very well on this map :toothy5:

Try a few from the map section to find the closest to your bike & mods.:3some:

Stuck on another map today, M412-514.djm

Just to see if it's any better or worse than the M412-518.djm i have been running. As it's only a 2 mins job to swap maps it makes sense to try as many as you like :) Long as you know what you're going back to.

Also fitted an irridium plug... just because...why not ..

Ooooooh that's better. Lost the hesitation and fuels superbly.

M412-514.djm is the one for me XTX with snorkel out, 1&2 filters and cans with baffles in.
