nitro x fuel commander

hi
just wanted to let you all know that i have fitted a Nitro x fuel commander to my XT660X 2009 model. It has completely cured the fueling problem. My bike is now smooth through town and has a good smooth roll of power. I dont think it has increased the power output but it was not advertised to do that.

The commander came from BK Racing and arrived quickly and efficiently with complete fitting and adjusting instructions.

If you want to try one here is the e-mail address.

or try e-bay shop. search; bkracingparts

Cheap cure cost me 36 quid

Nice work mate. I know of a few guys running these, the XT660 responds well to more air & fuel.

It says that :
Nitro X Fuel Commander can increase the horsepower significantly on any injection motorcycle. This Horse Power gain depends on the engine's capacity and potentials as well as the other parts and performance accessories already installed on a bike. With proper mods the power increase can be up to 15% on some bikes.

I have done extensive dyno work on these XT660's, the most HP you would see by just adding a Power Commander is around 2 to 2.5 HP & that is with a fully mapped custom made fuel map.

A fuelling device is used to correct the A/F ratio, it is not a HP mod, it offers the least HP gain of all the mods by it's self. Add a fuelling device to the combination of other mods & you will see big HP gains, a fuelling device corrects the A/F ratio to get the most HP out of all the added mods.

In the past we have discussed the differences between the Nitro X & the Kev Fuel Mod, here is one of the past Posts.

So in your opinion Kev, would there be much benifit to me with stage 1 and 2 filters and mtc cans?

I have Your fuel mod fitted now, would this be better?

The Kev fuel mod has a more precise adjustment through a variable resistor, they use a fixed value through switches. Both connect to the Air Temp sender. Mine has been dyno tested & can show you first hand how it adjusts the Air/Fuel ratio, they do not show any proven results.

The end result would be similar.

I bet they would not show you the insides of their mod & tell how to make your own if you have the skills. In the end it is up to the buyer, they are running a business trying to make money out of their mods, I am trying to help by offering the cheapest mods possible to riders.

I built my first Air Temp mod back in 1996 on a Volkswagen 20L 16 valve motor, so I have been making them for a while now.

Sure can, what year do you have & which fuel injection, K jectronic or MP9? As there are a few ways to get the HP up on these 16V motors.

Lets move your question to a PM or General Discussion & Off Topic thread, so we don't hi jack this thread.

Thanks Kev, I asked the question because I didnt know how the other device worked or what it was connected too. Now I know its connected to the air temp sender its obvious your device is better.
I'll stick with what I've got till I can afford a power commander and custom map.
